One of the lids is broken. It looks like it was screwed on when it broke, so I can only imagine that the lid of the box was crushed and the lid of the bottle shattered. None of the bottles are cracked or broken so the packaging looks ok although thin. These bottles are not dark enough for photo chemicals. I also wouldn't use them for color chemistry that needs to be heated. It's not borosilicate glass, and it's not very thick, so heat or pressure on it when closed will almost certainly shatter it. They're ok, but I wouldn't buy them again. For such a large bottle I would have liked a thicker one.
