not bright enough to read - but 10w replacement awesome
my original rating was only 3 stars because i don't need glasses) still not bright enough to read regularly i will try 5 watts , while my opinion of the light hasn't changed, I've raised the stars for the incredibly outstanding customer service! They replaced it with a 10 watt piano which I never wanted to try but it's great for reading the dimming options are really good and that soft touch makes it easy to turn on and off. Some reviews have complained, it buzzed. Read the instructions. Some electronics too close may cause noise )
