Cute and Clever but Sensitive on/off

Bought this for a Star Wars fan and it was a welcome gift. I learned and witnessed myself that the light will go on / off at just a drawer closing. Such sensitivity has become such a hassle that the user no longer wants it hooked up to bedside lamp - seeing at it goes goes on and off at even foot steps in the hall. Such a fun clapper - wish it had more ability to decipher claps!
