I was very pleased with these containers, especially for the price. The glass is heavy and makes a robust impression. Tops fit and close easily. I noticed that some of the other reviews complained about them breaking after heating. So when I take one out of the fridge I soak it in water for 10 seconds to heat it evenly and then pop it in the microwave WITHOUT THE LID. If you heat these lids in the microwave, the seals will deform over time and you will lose the seal. A few caveats: These containers are actually airtight. However, they are not proof of life. Several times I carried them in a backpack or gym bag and threw the bag on the ground. I later find out that one of the tabs has opened and a small amount (yogurt in my case) has leaked out. But how much can you really ask of such containers? I would attribute this to user abuse, not containers. This should be taken into account when using it. Second, the rubber pad on top can get dirty. I left some food (yoghurt again) in an airtight container for a few days and mold has grown on it. It's ok, but after cleaning with soap and water, some mold remains on the rubber part, or at least the color of the mold. Again, I would attribute this to user abuse. I would give 4.5 stars if I could but it would be unfair to downgrade it to 4 because of some trivial issues. would recommend.
