These are a great replacement for running/brake lights 1157
They require optical soldering. They just get squeezed into each other. Be very careful when screwing them in or the case will twist and separate from the electronics inside. Once installed they look great and look bright, clear dome lenses when off and neon red when the parking lights or brakes are on. They illuminate the road about four times more than my standard taillights, making it easier to track and react to my bike on group rides.
