First I bought a 4K 4:2:0 model (not HDR compatible) to capture the signal from my 4K Blu - player ray to my new QLED 65". I thought $125 was a steep price but I couldn't resist. I couldn't get the video to stream unless I had the video quality significantly in the device's settings degraded what is really expected to the specs of the non HDR pair so I took a deep breath and bought the 4:4:4 HDR model for double the price and the video streams nice and flawless I've been using them for over a year now year without any problems other than my IR transceiver doesn't seem to work it doesn't really matter to me but if it does for you take it with a bit of caution I use these on both ends of a 2 5ft Shielded Cat6 Cable They get a little warm, but hey, they're pushing 18Gb/s, so I'll give them a little mercy. Bottom line: If you want to take full advantage of your brand with a new 4K HDR TV and you need TX/RX baluns, you need to treat yourself. I took a chance with J-Tech and their performance matched the reviews. Perfect!
