Each of my kids wanted a Furby for Christmas this year, so I officially have a Furby army of six. While they're good little toys for what they do (drive you crazy and talk all the time), there are a few things that really let me down. PROS: The new version of the Furby knocks the old one out of the water. Lots more sensors and my kids LOVE being able to interact with the iPad/iPhone. mainly feeding and translating CONS: Battery life is FUN. I bought six Furbies, each requiring four batteries. That's 24 batteries on Christmas morning for Furbies ONLY. I bought very high quality batteries believing it would be worth it in the long run. Em. Yes and no. A full charge only takes ONE day on average (sometimes you can get two if you do NOTHING with the Furby). I even tried non-rechargeable batteries, thinking maybe they wouldn't last as long or something. nope But it's only enough for one day. It's obscene. Who can afford to run a toy that requires FOUR NEW AA batteries every day? Yes, I have batteries, but I still think it's funny. Second, some of mine don't work very well, especially after changing the battery (which, like I said, happens DAILY). Then you have to play around with them and reset them again. Nobody is having fun. Overall I have to say these are 5 star products for kids but as for adults. not as much.
