We used these laminate panels to create a faux "wood" wall at a fraction of the cost and work with real wood panels! These panels appear to adhere well to the wall and are easy to cut and install with a little practice. For this project we bought 3 colors: Driftwood, Mahogany and Silver Spruce. Before installing, we left them at room temperature for a week to allow for shrinkage. We also purchased 2 tubes of liquid nails + a small nail gun/stapler ($30 at Walmart) for this project based on other reviews which explain that the weight of the panels cannot support a vertical surface like this. We tested our stud finder with a panel on the wall beforehand, knowing we would also be mounting a TV and had no trouble finding studs or electrical wiring. We found that cutting the panels was easy with a regular utility knife, making 1 or 2 cuts on the side with the pattern and bending the panel where the cut was made. We decided on a repeating two row pattern because it was easier to keep track of which panels to make next and we wanted to make sure we were using a fairly even amount of each color. We fixed the panels to the wall in one go with liquid nails on the back + 1 small nail in each corner and we didn't seem to have any issues with the panels falling off. .I will say however that the Spruce Silver panels appear to "bend" in the middle (it's not noticeable at all unless you go to the wall and press on the panels), so we'll probably continue and they insert an extra nail. or 2 on these panels this weekend. The mahogany and driftwood tops appear to be a bit more premium than the spruce and silver tops (they're harder to peel from the backing, the adhesive feels stronger, and they feel more solid to the wall too), but overall they're all there A great product and I will definitely be using the leftover boxes I have bought elsewhere in our home. For reference, our wall measures 114 inches (W x 98.5 inches) and we used 6 1/2 boxes to cover the entire wall - 2 1/2 boxes of driftwood and 2 boxes each of spruce, silver, and mahogany. The entire project from start to finish took me about 3-3.5 hours with a big break somewhere in the middle :) I'm so happy with the results, it looks just as good if not better than the real wood walls I've seen have!
