Automate any plug-in devices, lights or home appliances (and control them freely with your voice)

These smart sockets are easy to set up, have many features via the Smart Life app (available on the App Store and Google Play) and can be forgotten through automation once they're ready to go. Not to mention the ease of use with voice activation once integrated with Alexa or Google Home Assistant. I've never had a smart plug and to be honest I didn't feel I needed one until I bought these plugs. Now I'm a firm believer that it's fun and easy to automate many of the mundane tasks that would otherwise be cumbersome or require you to do repetitive steps (that can easily be overlooked or forgotten). There are many ways to control your devices, lights, or home appliances with a simple on/off switch, and when you combine this with Alexa, Google Assistant, or even Siri integration, the convenience of a smart plug goes to the next level. For example, imagine you are on a trip and you leave your pet in a hot place at home and you don't want them to overheat while you're away. If you don't have central air conditioning, you can connect a window air conditioner or fan to this smart outlet. The Smart Life app can be set to turn on the fan or window air conditioner when the outside temperature reaches a certain level. Then, when the outside temperature drops to a certain level, simply set another automation to turn off the output. It's that simple and your pet will be comfortable and happy, so you can focus on your vacation and not worry about your pet's comfort at home. Same goes for lights, no more old style lighting timers. Simply set up a schedule for when to turn outlets on or off. If you want to change your lighting schedule while travelling, no problem. Some very unique uses for sockets can be to perform an action in places you only visit occasionally, such as: B. a cabin or a second home. You can turn on the heat, fan or air conditioner a few hours before you arrive so it's nice and comfortable when you walk through the door. Turn on the lights a few minutes before you arrive so you don't end up walking around with your luggage in the dark. Do you or your children tend to leave small appliances on? For example, the outlet that a hair straightener is plugged into will automatically turn off when you leave home for work or school, reducing the risk of fire. In the same vein, how about preheating your curlers just minutes before entering the bathroom to use so you don't have to wait for them to get ready! Would you like to spend a day without internet for you or your family? Just plug your wireless router into a smart outlet and schedule it to turn off. Better yet, just ask Alexa or Google to turn it off for you if you decide to take a break from the internet locally. Design, set up and use this smart socket even if you don't have access to the app. Cons - The round shape looks nice, but when you plug it in it takes up a lot of space, especially if you're using it on a power strip. In fact, it can occupy 3 outlets on an extension cord. (Reason for a 4 star rating) - The base could have been a bit thinner which would have been even better for use on tables, dressers or other hard to reach places. - Can use the back for labeling (There is no way to tell which outlet is which when not plugged in) SETUP/USEPros - The Smart Life app was very easy to install on my iPhone - Alexa integration was seamless - very easy to do and fun to play with Socket Control - Love the socket control options with the Smart Life app - the automation feature is awesome! I have a window air conditioner and can't wait to use the automation to turn my air conditioner on when the outside temperature reaches a certain level. The scene feature comes in handy for quick homepage buttons. Very easy to read point of sale view on the main screen of the application. - The IFTTT integration went pretty well - I always like the versatility of using anything on this platform. Kudos for working with them! - Great idea, you can not only choose the position of the connectors, but give each of them an individual name through the Smart Life application. - Love the Siri integration with Smart Life! - Can give other family members access to specific outlets, which is a big plus depending on what devices and what rooms you want to control. Ideal for use with devices or devices that need to be connected behind furniture or in tight spaces. . Just turn them on and off with your voice or the Smart Life app - no more fumbling trying to get to an outlet to turn off a simple light. - Ideal for use with tools/devices that need to be charged but you don't need them. constantly consumes electricity and damages the battery or simply consumes extra energy that increases your electric bills. Cons: Voice activation in the application is so-so. Sometimes he understood me and sometimes not. I believe that those who have an accent may not understand anything. Sometimes when I unplugged one of the outlets and plugged it back in, the app didn't realize they were back online until I closed and restarted the app. - WiFi coverage must be strong for outlets to work properly. Wi-Fi is weaker in several places in my house and I can still run my Smart TV in those places, but for some reason I couldn't activate the outlet and connect to the network. As for the setup, it was quite confusing. to know how to choose the right socket option in the app - Written instructions - the text is very small (they provide useful tutorials in the smart life app) - If you unplug the sockets, you can easily mix them up without them to mark in any way. SUMMARY Overall I really like these smart plugs. I have two of these that control my dehumidifiers. With their help, I was able to get rid of the old school timers. So setup is fairly easy (except for a few hiccups with the Smart Life app, but once set up it's very easy to use, especially with Alexa or Google Home as long as the Wi-Fi signals are strong enough to support it ) If you've been hesitating about smart sockets, don't hesitate any longer and get a 4-pack so you can enjoy a more automated home, office or cubicle.
