The double-sided mounting plate has come off.

The wax paper material that should have peeled away from the clear tape around the perimeter has torn the entire strip of tape off the screen. I only glued 3/4 of the pages to the monitor. can't bother removing it just for that. Try tweezers? Maybe you'll have better luck than me with duct tape.
