I decided to get a first impression of this product while it is on sale. I got my first remote-controlled car almost forty years ago. This Tamiya rig cost me almost $500 and the kit was just a box with hundreds of tiny parts and screws. I think a Big Mac cost a few dollars back then. So here's the "good": Everything is set up and ready to go. 2 shells and 2 high capacity lipo batteries. The materials appear to be of good quality. All-metal gearbox with real differentials. (The brushless motor has enough power to easily destroy any vehicle). The front of the chassis has a metal brace (common failure point). Dean's battery connections. Proportional steering. Pretty fast and long battery life. Not many cons for the price, but rumor has it: Less than other cars 1/10. I will only note that this is not really a minus. I think the shock absorbers should be filled with oil, but I don't like that. The transmitter is pretty basic and the trigger is small for an adult finger. Ball bearings would be the biggest upgrade you could make to it. You can probably get an axle kit for less than $10. Finally, Lipo batteries should only be charged under adult supervision! The aftermarket charger makes charging time in minutes instead of hours.
