I got the rainbow colors and size of this candy box and it was the perfect size for the candies I wanted (M&Ms and other similar candies). I think the smaller size would probably be fine if you only wanted to put a few handfuls of candy in it, but the larger size was just what I wanted and holds over half a large bag of M&Ms or over a pound of them. The glass is thick and has survived a month of digging into it multiple times with my 7 year old without chipping or fear of chipping or breaking easily. This is a heavyweight, luxurious glass candy dish at a great price! I used to buy an expensive crystal candy tray and it broke within a week and didn't feel as strong or heavy as this one and I paid a lot more money for it. All my friends praised it and thought it was an expensive dish because of its appearance and were shocked at the actual price. The rainbow color is nice and doesn't look sticky or peel off like paint or anything. I would certainly buy another one for myself or gift it to a friend as they are beautiful and well made.
