Review on 🔒 Fellowes 5736606 Saturn3i 125 Laminator: Fast 1 Minute Warm-Up, 12.5 inch, with Laminating Pouches Kit, Silver/Black by Seth Damain

As a teacher I have access to a free large laminator, but it is not available in the summer and it often 'breaks', mainly due to the fact that the other teachers don't follow the instructions when using it work him. However, it is FREE and it is a 1 mil double sided lamination which I am OK with as my purpose of lamination is to protect the item from contamination from frequent handling. I would like this machine to laminate less than 3 mils but am still very happy with the finished product - and there are times when more rigidity is desired. I've made whole pages and several strips together and the lamination turned out great - see examples in my two photos below. The price is definitely right, as is the cost of a box of laminating pouches. If you have an 8.5" x 11" product, center it side to side and don't push it all the way into the pocket, there will be an even 1/4 inch hard and sharp edge around the product with rounded edges be around corners. - a nice feature. There are definitely no bubbles. Although the instructions say the product will be warm or hot, it feels cool to the touch. I cut the strips both with a school cutter and the old fashioned way - sliding shears. And of course the lamination process accentuated the colors. Update 1/23/2018: I noticed that the machine has started to make permanent vertical prints on laminated sheets. This can be done by wheels pulling the product through the machine. I also noticed that the top of the pages are wavy horizontally. I don't need perfection, I need protection; So it doesn't bother me too much, but for those who want a near-perfect result, I'd say it's not worth buying this machine.
