I prefer my wooden back scratcher to them. Although I like that they are smaller for storage. They have a metal rod that extends outward to help them expand and get a good path. These are better, but the problem is that the little handles don't flex enough INSIDE to scratch really well. It would be better if they expanded at least 60 degrees and a good inch. The metal bar is pretty strong, but the arms aren't. One of my two was missing a thumb. These are acrylic hands only so they can break very easily. They are small enough to fit in a handbag or desk drawer. The idea is great, but the execution is not. They reach fairly well but deliver only a mediocre scratch.
