I installed this on my side-by-side UTV and plugged it in to make it work when I'm driving so I can see someone sitting behind it me when I ride the trail. Use it as a rear view mirror and it also works when plowing snow. After installation, I turned on the power and it worked, even without an installed antenna. I later installed them anyway, but as long as the unit works well, time will tell how it holds up. So so far I'm happy with the product. I might even get one for my quad/ATV. When you're out on the trail it's nice to know that if faster cars are coming at you from behind, the mirrors should be on the outside and it's easy to knock them off - the monitor is in the cockpit on the SXS.
