Glad to find them on sale at Revain! I had one prior to this order so I already knew how good it was compared to the regular plastic boxes that most of us have. After moving to a new condition, I couldn't find them on the store shelf - Revane to the rescue! I bought these to replace annoying bobbin cases when I first started sewing. You know the ones I'm talking about - clear hard plastic boxes containing the most versatile spools that have lids that need to be taped shut because they fall off easily if knocked over (or accidentally dropped) while being stored. and dangle the spools so they all fall out (and roll under the tiniest of gaps)! Very upset but I was delighted when I first found this box and very excited when I realized I could buy more here. With the foam in these boxes, each coil is stowed securely in its own space - not so tight that it's difficult for the average person to take off (can't speak for those of dexterity), but it won't fall out even when tipped, the lids shut safely without much effort. No more searching for coils under furniture! Although they are more expensive than a standard clear box, I find the plastic quality for them to be very good (adequate hardness and thickness - not brittle or brittle), and the vastly improved functionality (no frustration with lids and scattered coils) is spot on for me to feel good about the investment. and was very excited when I realized I can buy more here.
