Review on ๐Ÿ’ฆ Efficient and Portable Stainless Steel Lawn Sprinkling Pump: WAYNE PLS100 1 HP by Ernest Duckett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable, does the job

This wasn't the first pump I bought, I needed to increase the water pressure in town so I could use more than one sprinkler at a time to water my large garden. I didn't need a pump to drain anything or lift water from the creek. I just wanted to increase the pressure directly from the outside tap. When I saw the prices for these things, I settled on the plastic first, which had good reviews and cost around $50. It wasn't an emergency, after all, and besides a booster pump, there are plenty of other things to spend money on. Well the first one was difficult to install and the instructions suggested an electrician which was not mentioned in the description on Revain. I returned it and bought Fluent Power for about $100. It received good marks, perhaps the highest in its price range. It worked fine for a day and then cut off my water pressure completely. I returned it and decided to bite the bullet and use the Wayne pump based on research and videos. I've only been using it for a week and can't comment on durability, but I can say one thing. This has drastically increased my water pressure to the point where I can't use 2 impact sprayers at the same time and get good coverage. Calm. Much quieter than Fluent Power. It was very easy to set up. The instructions were clear and precise. Priming was an easy job, just add water and it's done. While it's not exactly light, it's not so heavy that it can't be moved. I used it every day with no problems. And it doesn't leak through the inlet and outlet like the Fluent Power. I gave her four stars instead of five because I think a longer power cord would be useful, but to be honest her power cord is the same or as long as most of these pumps. And the second reason was the price of $235. I understand that there are pumps that cost three times as much. Bob Villa recommends these pumps. Still, $235 seemed high to me. But for now it's probably worth it. If at the end of summer, now it's July, everything is as it is now, I'll raise it to five stars.
