This is a great 1hp pump that works very well, my third pump. I had the first one for three years until I launched it a few months ago when we had a 100 degree heat dome over our territory. The pump's normal operating temperature is high enough to burn your hand after it has run for 20 minutes and reached its full temperature. I bought this to get sea water to water our lawn. The pump works great BUT there is a catch. Video nonsense / complete nonsense. What they don't tell you is that the plastic fittings that come with the unit, which make it easy to connect the pump to the hose you lower into the lake and connect the hose to the bottom valve, aren't what you get really need pump for that to work. UPDATE 06/08/20: Still 5 stars after 11 months! Now I mainly use it for drawing well water and not for irrigating lake water. I dropped 22 feet of 3/4 inch PVC down a 24 foot deep well, put the pump next to the well and I get 70 pounds of pressure at the outlet and 75 pounds at the end of the 50 foot pipe. Hose.
