Permanently best in the kitchen and dining room

I have owned a Le Creuset roaster for 20 years and have always been satisfied with the plastic handle that came with it, even in the oven. Lately I've started baking artisanal bread in it and you have to keep the pot in the oven for over an hour at a total of 450, so I think it was too much for such an old handle. I love this new metal pen. Works great and will last forever. The only difference is that now I always have to use oven mitts to lift the lid, even if I'm just making soup. It's getting very hot. Just get used to it.
