Review on Boulder Tools Deflators Pressure Gauge by Phil Kuebler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They work, just read the guide

I tend to buy premium when it comes to survival features so I was very cautious when buying these in US dollars instead of the standard (stash) price . I believe Stone did the design and the price has come down. I've only had them for a few months so can't speak to durability but I've used them 4 times. The tire deflators get 5 stars, the gauge is cheap, bulky but fits my good Accutire digital gauge, the box is pretty cheap and bulky so I just keep the deflators in their cute little compact case. There is a lot of good advice from the seller and other reviewers and they keep the air pressure at 1-2psi at all times. anything on your car, you can speed it up by briefly pulling on the end pin (which allows for quick deflation). If they are still bleeding slowly then, you can repeat this until they stop. Also, I've looked at the "quick tire deflator" design, which unscrews the core very quickly to deflate, but I'm a bit wary of removing and screwing the cores back in deep in the bush. This design might be faster, but you add complexity (think installation). There's also some aluminum construction that you can go slow with when installed and seems like a good idea, but could there be any corrosive fluctuations? problems over time. Also the idea of driving with something hanging on the valve stems can be forgotten and become a problem. Rod cracks from off-road driving are a known problem without further dismantling. Good product.
