So disappointing for camera and photo

We bought this as a special family treat to take photos with our dog as we made an appointment with the vet for end of life care in a few days. . We ordered the camera and also bought two sets of black and white film/paper and got expedited one day shipping so we could get it before our dog died. We received the camera, carefully read the instructions, treated it with care and followed all the instructions. The dark slide was not ejected when the photo pack was installed. (The instructions said it would automatically eject.) We consulted the troubleshooting guide and did as we were told. After much effort, we finally managed to partially eject the dark slide. But none of the photos were thrown away. We watched several troubleshooting videos and found that the roller in the camera isn't sticky at all and doesn't grab the paper. Needless to say we were very disappointed with our purchase. What should have been used right out of the box after charging turned into two hours of frustration. I told my daughter that maybe the day after tomorrow we would go to the camera shop. (The shop was closed on Sunday, it was Saturday evening.) The man noticed that there was no need to lug something new out of the box to the workshop. He's right. And we spent $20 on film/paper as everything was exposed due to a faulty camera and our efforts to make it work.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Nothing here
