Great addition if you don't need it as your primary source

Got this and was very glad I didn't have to carry around 2 chargers. I have a lot of old chargers from generations of MacBooks, so I have a spare at the office and a spare at home - this way I didn't have to carry two chargers around with two MacBooks, one old and one new, just take this adapter with me . It worked great except the light on the mag safe was off, at least it was charging. By the time I left it on for a few days it stopped altogether. Upset because now 2 chargers again. Thank you Apple for not thinking this through and relying on third parties to fix your mess.
