It charges my MacBook Pro from an old magnesia safe, but.

Thing works, but a few things are a bit odd: First, the charger's green light never comes on, which means I don't know when it's done charging. Second, it gets quite warm when connected to magsafe but not my MacBook Pro, which is a bit of a concern. But my laptop is charging.

Happy to find a solution to use my Thunderbolt display charging cable

Happy to be using the built in Thunderbolt display charging cable again! It does the job perfectly. Sometimes when my 15-inch MBP is CPU-heavy it has a hard time sustaining a charge, but I don't have high CPU usage often, so this wasn't a huge issue for me. All in all a great product.

Works most of the time. works well with USB to USB adapter

I bought this to use the cinema screen power port to charge my 2016 MacBook Pro. Which happens, but only if you don't connect the movie screen via USB-C/Thunderbolt. When both are connected. No charging. If only power is connected. He loads. So it's probably the right adapter for whatever magsafe charger you have. Just don't expect it to work fully with your cinema screen.

Works well but customer service is poor

So far so good. It doesn't feel reliable or durable, as the light on the charger doesn't work when it's plugged in and you have to juggle the connection to charge it. But if you juggle properly, it works well. One complaint I have is that the company emailed me shortly after receiving it asking if everything was working fine. I told them about the connection problem and asked for help or advice. you ignored me Email never answered.

Not a perfect connection but works most of the time

Sometimes my MacBook doesn't fully connect to the monitor and its features when my laptop is already on. It shows the display but does not connect to the attached mouse and keyboard. I have to hard reset my MacBook to make it work. This happens about 20% of the time. Also, I've had a few random restarts of my Macbook lately. This doesn't give me enough information to decipher the cause, but they only occur when the adapter is connected to an external monitor.

Not reliable in high power environments

Heats up as expected as stated by the seller. The light on the Magsafe tip doesn't come on, but I doubt they have a choice on the matter. It doesn't get hot enough to burn things, but it can be uncomfortable to touch. My problem is that it is not reliable. Twice my Mac shut down unexpectedly because the battery ran out of charge and Catalina didn't give a low battery warning. Both cases were probably common for high-end hardware. This may be fine for a lower power requirement, but in the past…

Great addition if you don't need it as your primary source

Got this and was very glad I didn't have to carry around 2 chargers. I have a lot of old chargers from generations of MacBooks, so I have a spare at the office and a spare at home - this way I didn't have to carry two chargers around with two MacBooks, one old and one new, just take this adapter with me . It worked great except the light on the mag safe was off, at least it was charging. By the time I left it on for a few days it stopped altogether. Upset because now 2 chargers again. Thank you
