Actually I've been through three of these in a few years. The first was installed by someone other than me and worked fine for maybe two years. I don't remember what broke on it, but something gave way and the lever inside got stuck the entire time, so it wouldn't wash off at all without persuasion. For some reason I didn't think it was a branded warning sign. I just assumed something was wrong with what I had and bought two more; one for each bathroom in my house. Now I'm trying to remember the past about two years ago and I think my original intention was just to replace the broken piece with one, but when I got a new set the design changed (what I actually call it sigh of hope - maybe you knew there was a problem and fixed everything that was wrong with me), so I ended up replacing all the parts. I'm not a DIYer at all, but with a little help from online videos I got my first one up and running in under an hour. The second seriously took maybe 15 minutes since I knew what I was doing. Unfortunately, the one in my main bathroom broke after six months of use. I gave up and replaced it with a standard fitting. About six months later, the one in my guest bathroom broke. I don't remember what happened to the main bathroom, but the guest bathroom only had the option to turn off. As a result, we had to remove and reattach the canister lid every few days. We hobbled around with it for about six months before one of the younger kids had an issue with it and then dropped the gas cap while the flushing system was reconnected. The gas cap is not interchangeable as the company no longer makes it. So now if I want a working toilet with the right lid, I have to buy a brand new one. (Yes, I know there are universal covers, but have you read the reviews?!?) The new flushing system, which I thought would save money in the long run, turned out to be quite an expensive purchase. Now I have completely dispensed with water-saving flushing systems. Three different sets from the same company have deteriorated, and in different ways.
