Review on ASHANKS Motorized Camera Slider with Bluetooth APP Control, Carbon Fiber Rail for DSLR Camera Time Lapse and Follow Focus Video Shooting, 120 Degree Panoramic Shot, 48 by Carlos Long

Great slider. I really like it!

The nylon body is strong and has plenty of padding. Inside the case there is a small zippered pocket for tools (5 Allen keys included), a handle and a shoulder strap. The kit also includes interface cables for all major camera manufacturers, a control module and a battery. Each of the four legs is individually adjustable, rotates 360° and locks into place with serrated grooves when the clamp wheel is attached. Each of the rubber tipped legs can be extended about an inch with a screw and secured with a lock washer. The control module and stepper motor are a single unit and are powered by a standard Sony NP-f550/570 battery. (charger included) that connects to the device. Installing the control module is easy, simply slip the rubber strap over the gear and pulleys, secure the unit to the pallet with the fixing nut, then tighten the strap to the side frame sections with the fixing screws. The motor is very quiet but not totally silent (see uploaded video) so every noise needs to be edited in a post. The slide rail slides very smoothly over the carbon fiber rods, with no play. The center spindle features a 3/8" mounting screw to attach your camera (via a 3/8" to 1/2" adapter) or your favorite head. The bottom plate also has several 1/4" and 3/8" holes. Holes for attaching the slider to a tripod. For added stability, each side also has 1/4" and 3/8" holes, allowing you to use 2 tripods. The motor seems to maintain a constant speed with no jumps or jerks. The "Smooth Start" option adds a smoother gradient to the beginning and end of each slide. With the mobile app, you set the start (A) and end points (B) by wirelessly moving the tablet to the appropriate position and accepting the values. The motor does not stop automatically when it reaches the end of the slider, so be careful when manually adjusting the end points to avoid damaging the drive belt or motor. The swing arm can be adjusted to rotate the camera mount B .a static panorama, trace or line image. Th. Two mounting screws on each end of the panorama bar hold it in place. Even a fixed pan bar can vibrate during operation and cause a metallic hum (:06 video) caused by the smallest gap between the pan bar and the side frames. I fixed this by cutting a piece of adhesive label backing paper, folding it in half, smooth side out, and inserting it between the pivot arm and the bottom of each side frame. There are guide marks on the side frame to help you adjust the angle of the swing arm, but you need to keep track of the location with the big red mounting screws. I really like this slider. I have the 31" version and it seems very solid and reliable. It fulfills all promises very well and I recommend it to others!
