I use a 33 quart (12" x 18" x 9") polycarbonate Cambro storage box for sous vide cooking (hot water in inner box.) I've had my sous vide for years -Box filled in the sink and then lifted about 40 pounds and carried to an empty counter.And then when the cooking was done I picked it up and carried it back to the sink for the (sometimes warm, sometimes very hot) water pouring down the drain. Too often draining also involved a squirt and a mop. I wanted to connect a hose to my faucet to make filling easier (and then use the hose as a siphon to make draining just as easy). The SmarterFresh adapter kit made this possible (in combination with the 4ft hose I also bought. SmarterFresh came with about half a dozen adapters, the second one I tried was perfect. how perfect. Both that feel lling as well as the emptying of the process were completely seamless. Happy.
