I chose this one because all the other tablet stands I need to work with this 12.5 inch monitor didn't have enough travel, felt flimsy or under angles could not snap into place. . The stand is of the highest quality from the base of the clamp to the end arm and has foam pads to ensure it doesn't cut into what you clamp it to. The only plastic is the tablet holder itself, but it feels solid enough. Yes, it's a bit more expensive, but the metal lock handles and aluminum levers are beautifully sculpted, move smoothly, and are strong. Very satisfied! There were no reviews at the time of purchase but I agree, the hardware is good and works great!
