Review on Metacarpal Finger Splint Hand Brace: Effective Support for Fractured or Injured Metacarpal Bones by Matt Larsen

Great for ulnar nerve pinch injuries

I have a pinched ulnar nerve in my left hand, my pinky and ring finger are numb, swollen and continue to curl. A regular carpal tunnel splint doesn't support my fingers, so my doctor had me curl my fingers and wrap them around my palm and wrist. I tried combining the carpal tunnel splint with a premium bandage around my fingers and palm, but this became a real problem because the bandage came off and I had to bandage my hand 10-15 times a day. This product is advertised for broken fingers but it was shaped exactly how I needed it. I only wear it for one day and I like it very much. It's more comfortable than a premium bandage, which is great as it takes about 6 months to heal. My only issue is the band tightening around two fingers. As my pinky kept curling up, it slipped out a couple of times. It needs to be wider to hold the pinky, but I think I solved this problem by pulling the strap diagonally so it extends the coverage of the finger. Also, the splint in it extends from my fingers to my wrist so it also helps keep my wrist straight. And that's great, because the slightest wrong movement in my wrist causes a lot of pain. Excellent quality. Highly recommend for anyone with ulnar nerve damage affecting your fingers (I also recommend an ulnar splint at night and an elbow brace during the day).

Pros
  • ADJUSTABLE SPIN The flexible aluminum splint helps you find the perfect comfortable fit for your hand and fingers. When you need a comfortable boxing finger brace to protect, support your fingers and help relieve finger pain. Adjustable size for women's or men's fingers. Nothing for children and not for very small hands. Please note can be worn on either hand
Cons
