I was skeptical about the battery only camera and the claims of 30+ day battery life, but I was pleasantly surprised. If I use it for 30 days, the battery is still at 76%, I suspect that with more movement, more battery is used, I had little movement. Detection and notification are almost instantaneous, but you can only view notifications if you have a micro SD card (not included). For the price I'm very happy with this camera. Battery Life: For me, it was a battle between the convenience of setting up a wireless device and the convenience of never having to charge the camera. So far this camera is working well. A USB-A to USB micro cable is included for charging. A full charge takes a few hours, but is said to be a few months before a top-up is needed unless accessed too frequently for live video.
