Very efficient but too big

I live in North Dakota and had over 60 inches of snow in the last month and then arctic air. I had to be outside when it snowed, when it was -20º and colder. You need to understand that context to understand my assessment. was dipped in petroleum. I should have washed it before trying it. I washed it in cold water and let it air dry to keep it from shrinking. The first wash wasn't enough to remove the smell. the second time around the smell was gone and i wasn't nauseous.after trying it i found it just too big for my head.the balaclava started spinning on my head once i was outside and pretty soon my left eye was closed and the right ear was open. I had to correct it several times while trying with a shovel. Ash in hot water and medium heat to reduce. I thought the wool should compress slightly, but it didn't compress at all. So I stick with the balaclava, which is too big for me. That alone should give it a few stars, but everything else is so good I only gave it one star. This is wool. This makes it very warm and breathable! I can breathe normally when I'm in -20 degrees with my nose and mouth closed, which is a miracle. Although my breath got wet on the balaclava, it didn't turn to ice and my face stayed comfortably warm. It was a great help during these storms! I only wish I could get a smaller one.
