BUYER BEWARE! product change.

I have been a customer of ACDelco fuel filters for many years. I bought Revain filters for my 2006 Chevrolet 6.6 Duramax. Never had a problem. My last purchase was in January 2020. When I received my filters I didn't check the box to make sure they were correct. Although the filter is marked TP3018, its subnumbers differ from older models. Matching filter for my truck is TP3018/12664429. They always worked, were painted white and wrapped in plastic. When I reordered in January, they sent me TP3018/19420323. As you can see, the secondary number on the filter was different. Unknowingly I installed 19420323. My truck would not start or drive. No fuel consumption. I looked at the old box and the filter I still had on hand and noticed a big difference in the filter numbers. The new ones were TP3018/19420323 (didn't work) and the old ones were TP3018/12664429 which worked. I looked down where the fuel separator is located and noticed a big difference inside the fuel filters. New ones seem very cheap in construction, color and packaging. Let's go back to Revan. If you run TP3018/12664429 you will see a photo of TP3018/19420323 but the description shows the extension 12664429. If you choose ACDelco 19420323 or 12664429 you will get the same photo of filter 19420323 with subwoofer in the description 12664429. I'm not on that point, I know what Chevrolet, 6.6, Duramax TP3018/19420323 works. I know it doesn't work on my truck. I know my Chevrolet, 2006, Duramax, 6.6 starts and runs on TP3018/12664429. Right now I don't have about $75 and two filters, one didn't work and the other is new in the box. Even if they are more expensive I will probably go to K&N for a replacement. Too bad for ACDelco that it replaced the old manufacturer. BUYER BEWARE.
