I really like this cosmetic bag. I have used two others, one is a small Orla Kiely and the other is a "small" LL Bean hanging bag. This is by far my favorite for travel due to the weight, size and quality. You will love it if you are a minimalist. I wish the side pockets were transparent (no big deal but I always open the wrong side). Weight: very light and durable! I have an orla kiely bag that I love but it's bulky and heavy which means it won't fit if I'm only traveling with hand luggage. This suitcase weighs almost nothing, but offers a lot of space. Quality: This is Eagle Creek. I've thrown all sorts of crap at it and abused it with no harm. I love Eagle Creek products. Pockets: They hold a lot of things. I divide the bag as follows: outer pockets for teeth and cosmetics, middle pocket for beer. The side pockets are practically useless, so choose your items carefully. My Violife toothbrush, dental floss, and dental insoles filled the side pocket pretty well; could fit a little more, but not much. For makeup, the side pocket has room for a Colorstay lipstick or two, a small set of eyeshadow, a brow pencil, eyeliner and lip gloss, but it gets cramped. When using many products or bulky items, you need to keep them centered. The center pocket is large but wide, meaning you'll have to shuffle all your items around, which is annoying but worth it given the lightness of the case. For me, the center usually has my retainer, extra hair clips, meds, band-aids, and any other random items I need. If you need a lot of medication, only take what you need for your trip and use a pill box. Structure: As already mentioned, my favorite toiletry bag is the small two-pocket version by orla kiely, which unfortunately has been discontinued. It's very structured and has some useful built-in pockets, making it easy to find what you need. I wish this bag was a little bigger and a little more structured. The problem with its shortness is that the side pockets are very small and the middle one is very flexible. I really hate digging in the center pocket. The zipper is good but also allows items to fall out fairly easily. If you're in a small bathroom, be careful when opening.* Improvements: (1) Reduced center compartment opening to provide more grip on narrow sides; (2) extend one or both side pockets towards the middle (like sports bags); (3) Mesh pocket on one side of center pocket to keep multiple items in place. Everyday use: Due to the lack of structure, I don't use it every day, only when I need to pack something light. It would be great if you go to the gym, go on weekend trips or if you don't wear a lot of makeup. It's not great for lots of groceries or large items, but you shouldn't even pack them in the first place.
