Review on πŸ›οΈ Dry-Packs Mylar Bags and 300cc Oxygen Absorbers for Long Term Food Storage, 10"x14", 1 Gallon, Pack of 50 by Mayra Boyle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Hermetically sealed with a nice notch for easy pouch opening

We used this product to pack quinoa and chia. We packed 3 to 4 pounds in the bag (but could get it closer to 5 pounds if we wanted to), added an oxygen scavenger, and after deflating most of the air, ironed the end with an iron. The next day almost all of the bags were sealed tight due to oxygen scavengers (two of them were our fault, not broken bags) and we used regular postal labels to tag them. We've opened three packets of quinoa so far and they've all been fresh. I plan to buy more when they run out. We sealed two bags due to improper handling. From the first try we didn't try to deflate (it was more like a pillow when we sealed it) and the oxygen absorber couldn't handle the amount of air we left in the bag. The second got punctured trying to fill it (it would be a good idea to remove any pinpoint items before placing a sealed pouch against it).

Pros
  • MADE FOR LONG TERM STORAGE! - No matter how long you need to store things, these bags will keep you safe and secure!
Cons
  • Quality
