🛍️ Dry-Packs Mylar Bags and 300cc Oxygen Absorbers for Long Term Food Storage, 10"x14", 1 Gallon, Pack of 50 Review

These mylar bags tear easily, are not strong and poor oxygen scavengers. I filled 14 bags and only 5 took oxygen. So either bad bags or most likely bad absorbers! Really a pain when trying to store your groceries! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I have bought several mylar bags from different vendors, they are terrible. I lost an entire bag of oatmeal when it turned out to be sealed and I went to move the bag and the whole oatmeal ended up on the floor. I tried to reseal it - nothing was sealed. I don't know if I can return once the bags are open.

Came with all oxygen absorbers in a vacuum sealed pouch with a serviceable O2 test. It would be nice if they shared the oxygen scavengers, but for the money it's hard to beat. I glued it with an iron and a spirit level, there were no problems. We'll check after a while if they're still sealed.

None of the iron pockets worked. Well, zero. I now have 50 pounds of unvacuum brown rice at home. None of them worked. Pilot error can be the cause of multiple bags. But 100%. Rejection is rare. At some point, the bags were supposed to be lined up before shipping, but there was a problem in Houston. And yes, I have had this surgery many, many, many times in the past.

I tried sealing three of these dry food bags just to make sure they would work the way I wanted before moving on to a larger project. I was very careful not to open the oxygen scavenger pouch until I had filled the pouches and was ready to seal them. I've also put extra scavengers in a grocery bag and sealed it before doing anything else. But almost a week has passed, and only one of the bags has decreased significantly, while the other two have not decreased at all. I am really disappointed…

I used sacks to store flour and rice. I glued them on with no problems. Watched videos to find the best way to put ingredients into bags as they won't stand and seal on their own. The bags are held and stored in the bucket without tearing. They seem durable and easy to use once you get the hang of putting the ingredients in a bag. We used this product to pack quinoa and chia. We packed 3 to 4 pounds in the bag (but could get it closer to 5 pounds if we wanted to), added an oxygen scavenger, and after deflating most of the air, ironed the end with an iron. The next day almost all of the bags were sealed tight due to oxygen scavengers (two of them were our fault, not broken bags) and we used regular postal labels to tag them. They were very useful to us when we received many 50 lb bags of rice at once. We were able to store the rice in these 1 gallon oxygen scavenger bags and store them in an airtight container for future use. This way we don't have to worry about bugs, mice or whatever trying to get into our food and eat it in front of us. Mylar bags have opened our eyes to a whole new world of food storage. I bought them when I saw they were cheaper - less than $25 - 50 pack. I didn't come by. I'm so glad I didn't! Got mine from OakTea and I have to say super fast shipping and everything was fine and the 1 cent shipping price couldn't have been better!
