I first used the settings I use for about 90% of my other PLA projects, which were halfway to what the manufacturer advertised, 205 nozzle, 55 bed, and had a damn good job, a decent one to get the first coat of paint. After resetting the temp on the nozzle and lifting it onto the bed, I got a reasonable first coat but noticed some inconsistencies in adhesion. Maybe the problem was in the PEI film, so it was replaced with a textured one. still some inconsistencies. I was able to get my first print off the filament but noticed some surface artifacts (pimples) that could indicate moisture issues, so put the spool in the oven for a while and try another print. Similar problems. Given the light color and "silkyโ quality of the thread, the surface irregularities are particularly noticeable. To be fair, these aren't horrible prints, they just don't lend themselves to anything other than functional prints. So: minus one star for adhesion to the bed (tested on glass, drink smooth and drink textured) and another minus for surface imperfections. Get this if it's on sale and you need functional prints, but not if you want something to rely on for the show.
