I bought this for my wife and it is the best monitor she has ever had. We've tried a few over the past few months and none compare to this one from MSI. (We use AMD 5800x and EVGA 3080, if you use an ATI GPU I would not recommend this monitor as GSync is an NVIDIA technology). The main thing that sets this monitor apart from others is the combination of settings found nowhere else... IPS, GSync and IPS high refresh rate: Most monitors are not IPS as IPS panels are more expensive to manufacture and traditional that have highest latency, instead most of them are based on VA or TN since they are cheaper and can change colors faster (usually very important for FPS games). Every guy has improved their weaknesses over the past few years, but when I've played some very expensive $500+ VA panels, I've still seen the halo effect in some games, and the only way to improve it is to Turning off FreeSync/GSync compatibility and even then it was still noticeable. On the other hand, this monitor has the sharpest images I've seen while gaming. Everything is crisp and clean, and colors are rich and detailed (I have HDR enabled). The closest I can compare it to is an Apple monitor or a high-end Samsung tablet. GSync: Most monitors have FreeSync with GSync compatibility instead of native GSync. I understand why this is being done as GSync has licensing costs, but if you want something that works 100% of the time without having to tweak game level settings and maybe need to double check everything when there is a driver update, get that - the TRUE Gsync is not compatible with GSync. Games that have been difficult to play while we've been testing things for the past few months just worked when we were using this monitor. Native High Refresh Rate: This is one of the highest refresh rates (without overclocking) I've seen on a monitor. recently. As another reviewer mentioned, if you don't have the hardware to push yourself you might not see the full benefit, but there are tons of monitors that run at 120, 165, or 180Hz, but only at the expense of overclocking do the monitor. Maybe I'm not the biggest problem, but I've noticed when overclocking monitors that it doesn't always stay clean (drop frames, more ghosting, etc.). This one from MSI runs at 360Hz natively, and since it's only running at 1080p, our GPU can actually hit the refresh rate ceiling and everything looks amazing. We have been using MSI products for a long time (several laptops, motherboards and other parts) and are once again impressed with what MSI has created and I would recommend this to anyone using newer NVIDIA hardware!
