These are hard to find. I can't get them at regular places like grocery stores, Target, or Walmart. There are many copper-plated steels, but they are pure copper and will not scratch porcelain. I use them to get rid of grease in the oven as well as pizza pans and skillets. And they don't rust! On some dark items, the copper will wear away if rubbed too hard, but I'm more concerned about scratches on porcelain surfaces. If your stove top, oven cavity or grate gets scratched with steel wool or these green pads, you'll never get them that clean again. Darkness seeps into the scratches left by the dirtiest others and you'll never get them out.
