Ford Fusion 2008. Rear door on the driver's side. A good replacement for a failed factory hard drive. A failed unit will no longer lock the door using the lock's or key fob's internal switches (manual controls will not change). This Dorman part had fewer pins in the connector, but it didn't seem to affect performance. Door open warning works. Internal and keychain actions work. Child lock works. As for the installation, it was not an easy task. This included removing the inner door panel, removing the sound insulation panel, removing the window regulator motor, removing the window from the bracket, removing the door handle and disconnecting several wiring harnesses. If none of this puts you off, you can easily replace it yourself.
