Lasted less then month!

I was going to give this product a 5 star review, but then it tore and there’s no way to reach customer service for a warranty claim. We set up the sun shades on July 13th and on Aug 3rd it ripped apart at the seams (less than a month of use). We purchased the 12x16 rectangular shade, so this review is based only on the rectangular shade.First the pros: the fabric the shade is made of is as the manufacturer claims. It's sturdy and blocks the sun, especially in the afternoons when the heat/sun is unbearable. There is a drastic temperature difference that I could feel when under the shade, so much so that we were finally able to use our patio during the summer afternoons. It withstood a light thunderstorm we had at night. It’s also very easy to set-up/take down. Now the cons: The manufacturer claims durable construction with superior/reinforced stitching, which is one of the reasons we purchased this brand, but as you can see in the pictures it came apart at the stitching. You can see the stitching is very minimal, not reinforced at all and the tarp strap ripped apart and the stitching literally unraveled. We bought two of the sun shades and only one of them ripped so it’s obvious that one of the shades is defective but getting a hold of the manufacturer for a warranty claim has been impossible. The telephone number that they provide for warranty claims goes straight to the voicemail of person called: Ruth Smith. The emails are also unanswered, you don’t even get an automated response that they’ve received your email.Like I said before I would have given them a 5 star review, but with the sun shade tearing apart at the seams and no customer service response they’ve earned 2 stars from me. I wouldn’t recommend the AsterOutdoor Sun Shades. Do some more product research on other sun shades out there. They might be a little pricier, but if they have good customer service than it may be worth paying a little bit more.

Pros

Cons
