FIRE HAZARD! in Ceiling Fans and Accessories
This kit is designed specifically for the original Hunter 2 amp motor fan. In the kit I received there is a receiver designed for a fan rated at no more than 1 amp - a dangerous mistake! This receiver would certainly overheat if operated at twice the load it is rated for, which could have set the ceiling on fire. Luckily I discovered the error before installing the kit. When ordering this kit, be sure to check your fan's amperage and power draw to ensure you are not experiencing overheating issues.
