Know what you're getting and you won't be disappointed.

Do not buy this to reduce engine and road noise in the cabin. Buy this to improve the quality of your sound system. It enhances the natural resonance of the records you apply it to. If you have a large unsupported part of the record (e.g. an eardrum), always apply this in the middle. The added mass and smaller gearing help this section vibrate less when your woofers are booming at lower frequencies. I did all four doors, back panel and transmission (and also installed new speakers all around) on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma. I also used Noico insulation foam over the soundproofing mat in all places. This takes some serious time! All the work took two days. To simplify, use the cardboard templates on the doors (reverse the templates for the other side of the car). Clean everything with isopropyl alcohol before gluing. buy scooters. Put on gloves. In my experience, the sound quality has improved significantly, allowing me to crank up the volume on even the most bass-heavy songs without distortion or rattling (thanks in part to the new speakers). Better said, I can now turn my sound system on at about 30% volume and almost all road noise is drowned out. Before that, even at maximum volume, I could still hear road and engine noise while driving. Without the stereo on, the car seems "more sonorous" or "more stable" (hard to explain). Out with it, it will be worth it. Quality is a superior product in every way at a price worth considering.
