Review on Isolator Audiophile Frequency Without Distortion by Octavius Webster

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This actually worked for ground loop problems at home!

I built a sound stage for my TV and as soon as I tested it I heard an annoying loud hum. It was a big project and I really wanted it to work. It was somewhere around 500 Hz, so it's not your typical 60 or 120 Hz output hum. The sound stage sounded great on my phone but the hum returned through my grounded TV. Yes, my TV has a ground pin, and it's the only one in my house with a ground pin, so I suspect the problem is ground loop related. Based on the reviews I saw on this product I decided it was worth trying. I took this product out of the elegant box, explained the basic car radio instructions and hopes were low. Plugged it in and the noise was gone! This is not a recommended solution now, but for testing purposes this product should work if you can isolate the ground and the noise goes away. I used a two prong extension cord and plugged in a three prong plug without connecting the ground pin. This eliminated the noise, but wasn't a surefire solution. For details on my stage design, I took the satellites from the Parts Express passive aggressive speaker set for a small and efficient system and used the remaining volume to drive the buck. Drives a 10 inch thin Rockford Fosgate subwoofer. Constructed from 3/4" thick MDF with a removable service cover. Soundbars are obnoxious and expensive, so I went for something cleaner, more attractive, and simpler that integrates with a headphone jack so the TV remote can still control the volume .I'm thrilled.Thank you!
