I've been using it for about a month. I'm a quilter and was looking forward to a powerful steam and a rare filling of a jar with water. These things are true and wonderful. However, what strikes me is how quickly it shuts off if I let it sit, and then it's very difficult to turn it back on. It relies on your interpretation of the blinking lights to tell you what it's doing. There is no real information in the "instruction manual" - just cryptic pictograms. *There is no text at all*. Eventually I found a man page on the internet that described what was going on with those blinking lights. So now I basically get it. But my biggest complaint is that it shuts down after only eight minutes on the stand - it's too short and takes more than two minutes to come back to life and release vapor afterwards. I consider this a genuine flaw in its design. In an ideal world, and for an item this expensive, the user should be able to change the auto-off settings. A full 10 minutes for it to release steam again. Completely unacceptable for such an expensive part.
