Plug and play on Ubiquiti switches

No issues with it, just unboxed it, plugged it into my 48 port 10G switch, connected a fiber optic patch cord and it rocked and rolled like before. with a standard copper connection cable. I can't disagree! Using it as a backbone connection from the switch to my server with FreeNAS homes, CCTVs, home automation, etc. isn't really necessary and overkill, but I've had a few 1Gbps streams. and no drop in performance on the network side.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Minor issues

Works as expected - Computers and accessories

Not that I thought real SFP modules wouldn't work with a user interface, but they work exactly as they say and as always the packaging with Ubiquiti materials is just great, super nice and soft. I have a 10G connection from my UDMP to my 24 port switch and it's working great.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Works great with UniFi switches

Works great with UniFi switches as it should. If you connect an SFP+ switch to an SFP switch, e.g. a 48-port UniFi to 24-port switch, you can use one 10G module on the SFP+ switch and one 1G module on the SFP switch, but you need to disable auto-negotiation and Select 1G Full Duplex on the 10G switch to make it work. I'm not sure if this is unique to UniFi switches.

Pros
  • Network transceivers
Cons
  • unreliable

Plug and play on Ubiquiti switches

No fuss or fuss with them, just unboxed, plugged into my 48 port 10G switch, connected the fiber optic patch cord and it wiggled and rolled like a regular copper patch cord. I can't disagree! Using it as a backbone connection from the switch to my server with FreeNAS homes, CCTVs, home automation, etc. isn't really necessary and is overkill, but I've had a few 1Gbps streams. and no drop in performance on the network side.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I don't know what I got but it's not what I ordered.

Update May 21, 2020: I received a replacement from Revain which has matching Ubiquiti logos and works great with my UDM Pro and Asus card. Tested 9.87 Gbps over 10m LC cable Will be upgraded to 5 stars. The first batch was probably a seller's return/scam. It was missing the Ubiquiti logo and protective cases. I don't even know what I had. These are definitely not ubiquitous modules and one of them was a 1g SFP (no + model) and I can't use it. They don't work with my Ubiquiti hardware nor with…

Pros
  • Computers and Accessories
Cons
  • Can't remember
