Having been an avid aquarist for over 2 decades this aquarium is really not intended for any type of fish. I know people always want to keep bettas in tanks like this, but they really are too small. You really want a fish that does well on its own and never grows larger than 1 inch since you need a gallon of water for every inch of your fish. So maybe you're keeping a small freshwater snail or a single guppy, but again, that's not ideal for most fish. Speaking of which, the aquarium itself is very quiet. You can really only hear the sounds of the water as it moves. The bottom filter is different from most aquariums and is a delight. It is nice and compact and fits easily on the table. It holds your phone and the charger works well, but it's not a fast charger. The biggest problem is the basic functionality of the tank. First, the plant area really needs a regular plant that's really small to fit on top of. . Aquatic plants die without water, even if the roots are in water. However, most common plants quickly grow large enough to fit inside. The basket obviously won't hold dirt, so you'll need to use one of those floral foams. Keep it or just the basket itself. The tank will also get very dirty if you accidentally overfeed the fish. Keep a few small rocks on the ground or sand will help. Overall, the tank is cute and novel, but not very practical.
