Too small. The big one can take a pony. The quality seems good and I was able to put the boot on with lots of hoof oil and brute force. Then I had to take the boot off the same way because it was so small it barely covered the ball of the heel let alone the ground. I needed boots to keep my gelding from ripping off his shoes. I am sending them back and ordering XL.
