They fit snugly and don't come loose, making walking in SPD boots feel safer and more secure. I had to walk a mile in boots because of the condo and I don't want to think about what it would be like if I didn't have them. As other reviewers say, the cases don't cover the carry tabs, but they are positioned higher so the carry tabs never touch the ground when worn. I've never had a problem with the wear tabs touching the ground. Also, after 18 months of use 2-3 times a week, they show no real signs of wear. And they easily slip into a saddlebag. QC has a job and they do it very well.
