Review on ⚙️ Monte Carlo 5CY60BK Cyclone Energy Star 60" Outdoor Ceiling Fan: Stylish Matte Black Design with 5 Blades by Ruth Coleman

Expensive and replaced in 10 months

We paid $300 more than Lowe's/Home Depot fans and expected it to be good. If only it were installed. Fought from day one. As others have pointed out, this is mostly related to fan speed. I have it above the bed so I need a fan with a good "medium" speed. This fan has 3 speeds. The low level is not even felt 4 feet below the fan. Useless speed. However, the next acceleration (medium) hits so hard that I can't sleep under it. Of course, high is worse. So, essentially, this fan has no real "intermediate" speed. I have several ceiling fans so I decided to get some empirical evidence. I measured 3 fans in my house (it was one of 3) on low to medium settings. I mainly counted the RPM. As I suspected, the low setting is 10 RPM lower than either of the other two fans! The environment (on this Monte Carlo) is about twice as fast as the environments of the other two fans. In general, even the numbers show that there is a big difference between low and mid levels, which is what I suspected. The low level is useless, it doesn't move air and the medium level is high for most fans. After struggling with it for 10 months, I finally had to replace it. With the cost of the fan and additional installation, I lost almost $450. Thank you Monte Carlo for your "Quality" fan. Never again. I love my new Lowe Hunter. He has average speed!
