Review on Merrell J034353 Breakwater Flip: Exceptional Men's Shoes for Versatile Comfort by Don Kishore

I was hoping these would be great Merrell flip flops but all summer they have been disappointing. The only positive is that the Vibram outsole offers great traction in the woods. Now I'm a size 8, every shoe I've ever bought is a size 8 and fits really well, although these don't. After walking in it for a few days, I found that the foot straps were too short on one side of my foot and too long on the other side of my foot, causing my heel to come off the sole while walking. At first I thought they would be deleted, but the moment I was able to return them never passed. Now the second problem is that after I crouched down the sock strap pulled about 1/2 inch out of the sole so now my left strap is hanging around uncomfortably and the sock strap is twisting under my toe. I will contact Merrell about this and hope they fix it, expensive flip flops should last years not two months. Now I doubt my ability of the Merrell trail runners to withstand the abuse they see in the white mountains....
