For the price the coat is plenty warm so far in 30 degree weather with windy conditions. I have yet to wear it sub 30 but in 30 degree weather with nothing but a T-shirt and this coat zipped up 3/4 of the way I was sweating after a short walk. It also has plenty of storage space and actual side pockets. I absolutely love the hood as well. As a 6'7" guy finding coats with hoods that actually cover your head is like looking for a unicorn. This hood has plenty of room to comfortably cover your head with a cap or beanie on.My only gripe is that this coat is sized extremely large in width. I purchased a large originally and it was far too wide for an athletic frame and the coat was awkwardly long. I'm 6'7", 220lbs, with a 45" chest and 32" waist and a medium fit me perfectly with plenty of room for layering. I highly suggest ordering a size down than what you normally purchase.
